A Psychic is someone who uses extrasensory perception (ESP) beyond the normal senses, generally through telepathy or clairvoyance, to receive hidden information.

A Medium is someone who communicates with spirits, either deceased, vibrational beings or entities.

All Mediums are Psychic but all Psychics are not Mediums.

There are two types of Mediumship:

1) “Mental Mediumship” - mediums who communicate using telepathy,

“Trance Mediumship” is a form of a Mental Mediumship. The Medium remains conscious as the spirit influences the mind to allow the messages to be delivered, yet the Medium has the awareness of the thoughts coming through.

2) “Physical Mediumship” - the Medium physically sees spirits,

“Channelling” is an example of Physical Mediumship as the Medium becomes a conduit to allow spirits to communicate through their body.

The short answer is No.

Some Mediums communicate with plants and trees, whereas some with speak with Animals. There are Mediums who converse with the deceased and there are Mediums who communicate with higher frequencies such as Spirit Guides, Archangels, Ascended Masters., Source/Universe/God, etc.

Yes it is. A Medium who converses with Animals might find it easier to speak to plants and trees, but not with the deceased as they are at a different vibrational energy field.

Some Mediums will only communicate with the decease, where others might communicate with higher frequencies, such as Angels, Ascended Masters, Spirit Guides and Source.
